The harvesting of doum takes place from May to July, followed by a variable drying period dependent on seasonal and weather conditions. At Martitec, we honor this tradition by using this plant fiber to craft unique and enduring pieces.

From the wild plant to the woven natural fiber, doum undergoes a transition in color, shifting from its initial green to a stunning golden hue during the drying process. If left for an extended period, it takes on a more pronounced yellow tone, sometimes complemented by brown nuances, lending it a slightly weathered and authentic appearance.
